RazerThin® LEDs

Cree RazerThin LEDs are appropriate in applications where sub-miniaturization and thinner form factors are required, such as

  • Audio product display lighting
  • Mobile appliance keypads
  • Automotive applications

Cree RazerThin LEDs are available in two lines, the 230 and 290, both of which come in 5 mA and 20 mA versions.  Features of the 230 include

  • RT230 5 mA performance
    • 2.0 mW min Blue (455-475 nm)
    • 1.5 mW min Green (520-535 nm and 500-510 nm)
    • Low forward voltage – 2.9 V typical at 5 mA
  • RT230 20 mA performance
    • 2.0 mW min Blue (455-475 nm)
    • 1.5 mW min Green (520-535 nm and 500-510 nm)
    • Low forward voltage
      • 3.1 V typical at 20 mA Blue (455-475 nm)
      • 3.1 V typical at 20 mA Traffic Green (500-510 nm)
      • 3.2 V typical at 20 mA Green (520-535 nm)
  • Small chip – 200 x 200 x 85 μm

Features of the 290 include

  • RT290 5 mA performance
    • Low forward voltage – 2.9 V typical at 5 mA
  • RT290 20 mA performance
    • 460 nm – 3.8-11.1 mW
    • 470 nm – 3.4-10.4 mW
    • 505 nm – 2.0-6.5 mW
    • 527 nm – 1.7-6.0 mW
    • Reduced forward voltage – 3.2 V typical at 20 mA
  • Small chip – 270 x 270 x 95 mm

Like all Cree LEDs, RazerThin LEDs combine highly efficient InGaN materials with Cree's proprietary G·SiC® substrate to deliver superior price performance for high-intensity LEDs. These LEDs also have a single wire-bond structure.

Cree RT series chips are compatible with most radial and SMT LED assembly processes.
