Cree Wins Three Awards at Annual Chinese Solid State Lighting Event
“We are very pleased that the China SSL Alliance and the International SSL Alliance have presented Cree with such important awards. It is an affirmation of the significance of our achievements from the previous years and will encourage us to expand our leadership in LED technology through relentless innovation and joint efforts with our Chinese industry allies,” said Dr. Jiaping Shao, sales general manager and technology director, Cree China. “Cree believes in ‘Cree Chip, China Heart’ as the core localized development strategy in China to realize important technology developments, and create paradigms and milestones for the SSL industry in China.”
2013 marks the 10th anniversary of China’s National SSL Program and also the 10th anniversary of CHINASSL. Each year a series of award ceremonies has been organized during the event to recognize the companies that make remarkable contributions to the development of the global SSL industry. As one of world’s largest SSL industry events, CHINASSL2013 is a valuable event with great influence, and not only summarizes the achievements of the previous 10 years, but also provides insight to the development of the SSL industry over the next 10 years.
“The global SSL market remains a largely untapped opportunity. Cree wants to move the SSL market even faster than what has been experienced to date, which can bring more technology development opportunities for everyone,” said Dr. Shao. “We are committed to working alongside our Chinese industry allies to make the dreams of the China SSL industry become reality.”
