XLamp MC-E

High-Lumen Output in a Small Form Factor

The XLamp MC-E LED is a lighting-class, multi-chip LED that provides high lumen output, color consistency and and multi-color packaging flexibility in a small footprint package. The XLamp MC-E LED is available with EasyWhite™ 2-step and 4-step bins, which improve LED-to-LED color consistency and reduce manufacturing complexity. Compared to discrete LEDs, XLamp MC-E LEDs reduce the distance between LED die, creating a small optical source for excellent optical control and efficient color mixing.

  • Available in white (2600 K – 10,000 K CCT), EasyWhite™, Dynamic White, or color (RGBW)
  • ANSI-compatible neutral & warm white chromaticity bins
  • Individually addressable LEDs
  • MC-E Dynamic White LEDs have two cool-white (6,500 K) and two warm-white (2,700 K) LED die
  • MC-E EasyWhite LEDs available in 2 and 4-step bins, up to 85 CRI
  • Maximum drive current: 700 mA per LED die
  • Reflow solderable – JEDEC J-STD-020
  • Electrically neutral thermal path

The Cree Product Characterization Tool (PCT) allows you to select from multiple lighting-system design parameters to compare up to three LED models simultaneously.

Try the Product Characterization Tool (PCT)

For all valid LED drive currents, the PCT quickly and easily does the following:

  • Shows all critical LED design parameters, such as luminous flux and efficacy, for selected LED models
  • Performs de-rating calculations based on junction temperature (Tj)
  • Calculates LED valuations, such as lumens per dollar (lm/$)
  • Estimates simple LED design parameters, such as the number of LEDs required and total power consumption

The PCT uses specifications and characteristics from LED data sheets to accurately compare LED parameters with changes in flux, price and junction temperature. The PCT can compare up to three LED models side-by-side to aid in making critical design choices.
